The Bucks Expressed Their Feelings Regarding Christmas Day Slate
This season, the Milwaukee Bucks are off on Christmas Day for the first time since 2017, which may be the biggest absence from the team’s schedule of regular-season games.
Coach Doc Rivers brought up their absence from the schedule on Monday during the team’s media day to highlight a sentiment that some of the Bucks locker room leaders have, which is that they are being ignored as the 2024–25 season approaches.
Milwaukee forward Khris Middleton stated, “We’ve been overlooked, I think, in some ways.” “I think we should have played on Christmas Day. However, the NBA had a different feeling. Although I’m not very motivated by it, I am a little let down.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo, a prominent player with the Bucks, continued, “We’ve always been overlooked.” According to Rivers, “We all pay attention to it.”
“We read it, we see it. If you understand what I mean, I don’t think I’ll need to use it—it will use itself.” To strengthen their rosters for the summer, the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks added big-name players in the offseason.
The NBA title run by the Boston Celtics was just completed, culminating in history.
In the meanwhile, injuries plagued the Bucks during a series against the Indiana Pacers, and as a result, they were ousted in the first round of the playoffs.
The Bucks had a quiet offseason after making a midseason coaching change to bring in Rivers and completely overhauling their squad before training camp the previous season to acquire Damian Lillard.
