The Sims 4 Gets New Expansion: Embracing Life’s Cycles and Mortality
The 17th expansion pack for The Sims 4, Life & Death, was released in time for Halloween.
The forthcoming addition for The Sims 4 is set to launch on October 31 and includes two new death-based job routes, a reward system for helping sims lead satisfying lives, and the ability to govern ghostly Sims.
Earlier this week, it was reported that The Sims 4’s next addition would be unveiled on October 3.
A post on the official The Sims Twitter page on October 1 that featured a nine-second video of what looked to be a live Sim dressed in the Grim Reaper’s robes, fans of the franchise already knew the name of the future expansion.
However, at the time, not much was known about the contents of the expansion.
On the game’s official website, the makers have posted a description of Life & Death in addition to a three-minute trailer.
The three-neighborhood world of Ravenwood, where living and ghost Sims coexist, will be unveiled in the expansion. Two new death-themed occupations, Reaper and Undertaker, will also be included in the bundle.
In these roles, players will assist people in passing from life to death by either natural or paranormal ways. In addition, players will be able to create wills to distribute their belongings, organise and conduct funerals, and go through the four different stages of grief: denial, holding it together, anger, and blues.
